One of the joys of 2009 was our introduction of two fine bands to our roster, Magik Markers and Sic Alps. Magik Markers came forth with the horrifically amazing album Balf Quarry in May. Sic Alps released a long-playing fuzzy-pop-epic singles collection double-vinyl LP A Long Way Around to a Shortcut in August. Pardon us if we don’t cross the street to wipe our ass on the new issue of MOJO - apparently they call his new album Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle a bit of the old number two! Pardon us, but it’s not shit, it’s one of the best albums of the year!
